Brief Biography

Baris Kesgin’s (he/him/his) teaches courses in international relations and comparative politics –specifically, in foreign policy analysis, political psychology, and the Middle East. At ÂÒÂ×ÊÓÆµ, Kesgin served as the Associate Director of the Honors Program and has been affliated with a myriad of interdisciplinary programs (Israel Studies, International and Global Studies, and Middle East Studies, among others). His research focuses on leadership and decision-making in Israeli and Turkish foreign policy, and also published on India, the small Pacific Islands, and the United States. 

Kesgin is an active member of several professional organizations, where he has served in different leadership roles. Kesgin was the president of International Studies Association (ISA) -Midwest in 2020, and ISA's Foreign Policy Analysis section vice-president, co-program chair in 2021. He also served on the Governing Counincl of the ISA. He is the faculty editor of the Pi Sigma Alpha (National Political Science Honor Society) . Kesgin is the editor-in-chief of .
