The ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network presents five categories of awards each year.

  • Gail Fonville Parker ’70 Distinguished Alumna Award: Presented to an alumna who graduated from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ more than 10 years ago and has distinguished herself in a profession, her local community, and brought honor to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community as a whole, and the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network through their support of EBAN events, initiatives, and the EBAN scholarship.
  • Eugene Perry ’69 Distinguished Alumnus Award: Presented to an alumnus who graduated from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ more than 10 years ago and has distinguished himself in a profession, his local community, and brought honor to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community as a whole and the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network through their support of EBAN events, initiatives, and the EBAN scholarship.
  • Outstanding Young Alumna Award: Presented to an alumna who graduated from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ more than 10 years ago and has distinguished herself in a profession, her local community, and brought honor to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community as a whole and the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network through their support of EBAN events, initiatives, and the EBAN scholarship.
  • Outstanding Young Alumnus Award: Presented to an alumnus who has graduated from ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ within the past 10 years and has distinguished himself in a profession, his local community, and brought honor to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ community as a whole. This person is also active in the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Black Alumni Network through their support of EBAN events, initiatives, and the EBAN scholarship.
  • K. Wilhelmina Boyd Outstanding Service to Students award: Presented to a current ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ Faculty or Staff member who has made significant contributions to the ÂÒÂ×ÊÓƵ black student experience through mentorship, support, and interaction with students.

The awards committee reserves the right to grant an award in a different category should the information warrant. After completing the nomination form, you will receive a confirmation email. The nominee may also be contacted for additional information.
